Gratitude Gifts

Back in 2020 Cleide Burgess was on my podcast, as my very first guest in fact, talking about gratitude. We had a great conversation talking about the power of gratitude. You can listen to it here, here or anywhere you listen to podcasts. Cleide also came on the third episode of the podcast to talk about actually using gratitude. Here she talked about a project she had done for a university course. For her, this involved writing a journal for 21 days with her husband as the subject. Each day she looked for something that she was grateful to him for. First she noticed the things that she’s grateful to him for; secondly she took time to experience the gratitude; then she wrote it down. At the end of the 21 days, she presented this gift to her husband. You can hear more about this here, here, here or anywhere you listen to podcasts.

Now this sounds like a lovely gift to me. Not just one for your spouse/partner, but for any other family member or close friend. It doesn’t have to be a 21 day project, it could be a 10 day one or even shorter. You could even sit down for an hour, or less, to write out all the things that your loved one has done/does that you are grateful for. Then give this as a gift for a special occasion.
